Trans men are named here in their own right. Cahoots Workshop exists to counter the exclusion of people from practical skills and spaces on the grounds of gender, and that exclusion applies to trans men. Most were kept away from the tools growing up, and they are frequently shut out of both women’s and men’s spaces. Including them is a direct expression of our kaupapa, not an exception to it.

Gender is a person's deeply felt internal sense of being male, female, non-binary, or something else. Nobody will be asked to prove or justify their gender.
At certain times Cahoots staff will waive this policy for specific events or essential reasons. Any time that the policy is to be waived will be strictly defined, limited, and communicated in advance to members and users of the Cahoots Workshop.
This policy does not apply to children under 14 years old. This exception is intended to support caregivers by allowing them to bring children into the Cahoots Workshop.
